PELOTON TRANSLATIONS is a boutique translation agency serving the cycling world, founded in 2014.
We offer bespoke translations to the bike business, manufacturers, marketing agencies, pro cycling teams, organisations, publications and events. Our work helps our clients to engage customers and fans all over the world, expand their reach and build their markets.
PELOTON is led by David Turnbull and Robert Bethell, professional and qualified translators, with more than 20 years experience between us.

Robert Bethell
Rob grew up surrounded by the green spaces of Sussex. His first taste of cycling came from early Tour de France sessions with his cycling-mad Dad. Now resident in Malaga, Spain, you might catch him attempting to drag his 6ft 5 (196 cm) frame up some of the local climbs.

An adopted Londoner, David met Rob while studying languages at the University of Manchester. After a stint living in beautiful Rome, David returned home to focus on his translation career and put in some miles around his beloved Lake District.

HOW DOES YOUR PRICING WORK?
Our pricing works on a project-by-project basis. We consider many factors when creating a quote – the type of text (e.g. technical or marketing), the urgency and the language pairs involved all make a difference amongst other factors.

HOW CAN I BE SURE YOU ARE USING TOP QUALITY LINGUISTS?
We only use highly-qualified, native linguists with a demonstrable passion for and experience in cycling. Most of our linguists hold such prestigious accolades as being members of the Institute of Translators and Interpreters or Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK, for example. Most will have at least a Masters and several years’ translation experience.

The main demand for our services is into and out of the most common European languages and English. However, we can also handle transitions into Asian languages and we have a broad database of translators with an extremely wide selection of languages.
