Not something Roxanne should be turning off, or an alternatively-coloured superhero, the ‘red light’ or ‘red lantern’ is the rider who finishes last in the Tour. A hero in our eyes, anyway – the ‘success’ of last place brings a kind of Eric the Eel/Eddie the Eagle fame to the rider in question.
